Carly: 'I’ll now happily state that 'I don’t eat sugar'!

Week 4!

I’m surprised how quickly the weeks are rolling past, and I am beginning to get to the point where I no longer really miss anything. I have made a name for myself at work by bringing in all my Sugar-Free treats for my crewmates (which everyone has loved!). #

Despite being offered cakes and sweets on a day-to-day basis at work, rather than responding with ‘I’m not allowed this or that’, I’m happily able to state that 'I don’t eat sugar.’ People really respect me for it, and are very intrigued about the recipes and giving it up themselves.

I am finding how easy it really is, once you get out of the habit of eating the things you relied on before, to create new habits. I am so glad that I am now at this point where I can really taste food and enjoy it for what it is, without it tasting bland without the sugary dips or sauces.

I have seen a real difference with my skin since the beginning of the challenge and have been able to go without any mineral powder, which for me is a huge deal!! I really enjoy looking forward to my days off where I can choose a new recipe and there are still so many I want to make!

This week Spencer, my son, showed a real interest in cooking and helped me do the burgers (p.131) , which he found so much fun. He would never have eaten onion or basil in food normally, so getting him involved in the prep made all the difference when it came to eating it.

Next week is the final week; it’s also my graduation ceremony on the very last day! Lets just say it’s going to be a great week 
